The project's governing documents — the Project Design Document, the financial model and the planting plan — have reached the versions that will carry Land Revive and Thrive into third-party validation under Verra's VM0047 methodology, version 1.1, with Climate, Community & Biodiversity certification at Gold level.
Validation grade is a specific thing rather than a feeling of readiness. It means the carbon accounting, the baseline, the benefit-sharing arrangement and the planting schedule are all written down in a form someone outside the project can test, and that they agree with each other. Getting there is mostly the unglamorous work of removing every number that could not be sourced.
It is not validation. It is the point at which asking for validation stops being premature.
