[ Who runs it ]

Three people, two countries

Restoration projects are judged on whether the people running them can deliver. These are ours, and where each of them sits.

  • Berlin / Accra

    Jay Credo Wonder

    Founding Director

Co-founder of QIA, elected by its founding members. Seventeen years building businesses across Ghana and Germany.

  • Berlin

    Daniel Naydenov

Head of Operations and Environmental Lead

  • Sefwi Bekwai

    Isaac Danso

Community Liaison and Local Finance Advisor

QIA Ghana is directed by Nana Danso Asare, a paramount chief of the area. He takes no personal share of carbon revenue; stool revenue goes to the Lands Commission Stool Land Account under Article 267 of Ghana’s constitution.

[ How QIA is structured ]

Two entities, one organisation

Money is raised and audited in Germany. It is spent by a Ghanaian entity, staffed by Ghanaians, based in the region where the work happens.

This is deliberate. A Berlin association cannot credibly run a Ghanaian project by remote control, and funders are right to ask why so many do.
